I didn’t plan on a raven—and a ridiculously handsome animal rescuer—derailing my perfectly organized life.

One minute I’m tending an injured fawn at The Hollinsworth Sanctuary, and the next, Dell Larkin’s storming in with a bird, a smirk, and an infuriating ability to make me forget my royal responsibilities. Yes, royal—as in Princess Kadence of England, currently hiding in Upstate New York, far away from crown-shaped headaches and family expectations.

But Dell keeps showing up—rescuing foxes, Dobermans, and every creature in need—and somehow, I keep falling harder. Snowy hikes, fireside conversations, and moments that leave me breathless make one thing clear: Dell Larkin is trouble, and I don’t mind one bit.

Of course, the crown, family expectations, and a little thing called “responsibility” loom over me. When danger hits too close for comfort, I have to decide—return to a life I never wanted or fight for the man who makes me feel free.
